Privacy
No accounts or ads. Here’s what stays on your device and what happens when you send a report.
What we count
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It counts page views and records which page you read, the site that sent you, your country, your browser and device type, and how fast the page loaded. It uses no cookies and does not track you across sites.
What stays in your browser
We use no advertising or analytics cookies. Your browser keeps your place on each page for this tab only, so the back button returns you to the same spot. Closing the tab clears it. Your selected Mac and screen setup are included in the page address so you can bookmark or share it.
Mac searches run locally. Text entered in the Mac finder is not uploaded or saved, and is cleared when you close it. We do not need your serial number. Choosing a result puts only the selected model into your setup.
If you choose Save desk, we keep its name, Mac, connection, lid setting and screens in this browser’s local storage. Saved desks stay after you close the tab and appear on the homepage when you return. They are not sent to an account or synced to other devices. Remove a desk from Saved desks, or clear this site’s data in your browser, to delete it. Opening or sharing a desk puts its configuration in the page address; its saved name stays in your browser.
Share setup creates its preview and downloadable image in your browser without uploading configuration data to make the card. The card includes the selected Mac, screens, connection and result, but no saved desk name. Copying the link puts the setup address on your clipboard. If you choose Share to an app, your browser lets you choose where to send the setup link, result summary and, when supported, its image.
What we do not do
There are no accounts or display ads. Product links take you to external retailers or manufacturers, whose privacy terms apply there. Product links currently go to manufacturer pages without our own affiliate tracking.
Who else sees your visit
Cloudflare hosts the site, so its servers handle every request, as any web host does. The fonts come from Google Fonts, so your browser also asks Google's servers for them, and Google sees your IP address when it does.
Private problem reports
Reports pass through our website’s Cloudflare Worker to our feedback API only when you press Send report. They are stored privately on our own server. You do not need an account. Our server uses your IP address temporarily to limit repeated requests; it is not included in the stored report.
Opening the report form loads Cloudflare Turnstile to check for automated abuse. Cloudflare processes connection and browser information for that check. Our server verifies its token before accepting the report. We do not send your report text or reply email to the Turnstile verification service, and we do not store its token with your report. The report includes your message, category, optional reply email and the page link. Setup reports also include your selected Mac, connection type, lid setting, screens, predicted result and Apple source. Expand the attached details to review them before sending. We do not attach saved desk names, search text, unrelated URL parameters, serial numbers or screenshots.
We use reports to investigate problems and reply if you provide an email. Reports are not published or used for marketing. Drafts stay in memory while the page is open; they are not saved to local storage. Copy report writes the message and setup details to your clipboard without sending them. Reports are automatically removed from the feedback database after 90 days. If email notifications are enabled, copies in our private inbox remain until we delete them.
